The MaxpeedingRods 2871 turbo suffers from a weak 270* thrust bearing along with an extremely small internal wastegate port. This causes these turbos to boost creep, along with reducing their reliability with over a 14psi of boost due to the small thrust bearing surface area, resulting in axial movement of the turbine shaft and compressor wheel.
This upgrade package solves this inherent problem by upgrading to a full face 360* thrust bearing allowing for a larger surface area for thrust load distribution.
The turbine housings internal wastegate port is also enlarged to eliminate the boost creep issue.
This makes the turbo reliable and a great entry level unit for a budget build.
